Welcome to My Gift Hint. By using the app you agree to these ground rules — kept short and plain on purpose.

The service

  • My Gift Hint lets parents create family profiles, build gift hint lists and digital invitations, and share them with guests through a link. Guests can open a shared list without an account and mark a gift as "I'll get this" so gifts are not duplicated.

Free to use

  • My Gift Hint is free to use. If we ever add paid features, we will tell you clearly before anything costs money.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep your password and any kid-access PINs to yourself.
  • Only publish content you have the right to share — including photos and links.
  • Don't upload anything unlawful, harmful, or adult in nature.
  • You are responsible for what you publish about your children. Shared lists are visible to anyone you send the link to, so share them only with people you trust.

For guests

  • Marking a gift as "I'll get this" is a friendly promise between you and the list owner. My Gift Hint does not sell, deliver or guarantee any gift, and no payment ever happens inside the app.
  • Your name and message stay hidden from the list owner until the reveal date you choose.
  • You can undo a claim from the device you claimed on, or by confirming the name you used.

Charity and shop links

  • Lists can include links to shops or to a charity chosen by the list owner. Those links take you to other websites we don't control — any purchase or donation happens there, under that site's own terms and privacy policy.

Acceptable use

  • Please don't scrape the site, try to access other people's accounts or lists you weren't given, or use the service to spam or harass anyone. We may remove accounts that break these rules.

Availability and liability

  • We work hard to keep My Gift Hint running smoothly, but the service is provided "as is" and we can't promise zero downtime or that nothing will ever go wrong. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses — for example a gift mix-up caused by a list being unavailable at the wrong moment.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

Changes to these terms

  • If we change these terms, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use My Gift Hint after a change means you accept the new terms.
